  1. How often should I clean my carpets?
We recommend 12 monthly carpet cleaning for light to regular use but pets and kids your carpet usually need more frequent professionally cleaned. It is the unseen allergens, soils and bacteria that cause damage to carpets, not regular cleaning that is done correctly. Carpets that are regularly cleaned and maintained have a longer life spans than those not professionally cleaned.
  2. Will all the stains come out?
Depending on how much time the stain has had to set in the carpet and if it is a spot or a stain.
Spots are substances that is adhered to the carpet fibre, but has not become set.
Stains have generally been there longer, are more advanced and often become set.

A professional carpet cleaner will remove all spots (food, grease, mud, etc), if a stain is relatively new it can be much easier to lift than a stain that has had plenty of time to sit and set in the carpet. Here at Country Life Carpet Care we have a wide range of stain removal solutions for coffee, tea, blood, soft drink, urine, red wine etc which help to lift some of the most difficult staining. Even if the stain has set and become permanent, stain removal can usually still be successful removed.

  3. How long does it take for my carpet to dry after cleaning?
Carpets usually take 2 – 8 hours to dry depending on the cleaning process used and the weather on the day.
  4. Can you remove pet odour from my carpet?
Pet urine that was not dealt with immediately can be a major problem because it soaks through the backing of the carpet into the underlay underneath your carpet and can end up on your floor and skirting boards, leaving them wet so some time afterwards. The wet urine can now cause bacteria to grow and that is what usually causes the odour.

To remove the odour, the urine must be removed or neutralized from all affected layers. We would need to see the area and the amount of damage that has occurred before we could say whether the odour could be completely removed. Ring us Country Life Carpet Care to discuss your particular case and we can give you a quote.

  8. Will cleaning damage my tiles or grout?
No, If your floor, tiles and grout are in reasonable condition.
Missing or cracked grout can be a problem, as loose grout tends to get dislodged in the cleaning process. If you have a problem with loose grout and are thinking about regrouting that area, it is better to regrout after cleaning rather than before because cleaning will remove the loose grout particles and clean the area thoroughly so that the new grout will hold better.
We can clean tiles that are cracked or broken without too much trouble.
  9. How do I maintain my tile floors after they have been cleaned? sparkling clean tiles photo
Country Life Carpet Care recommend cleaning with a damp microfiber cloth and a neutral cleaner at least weekly to maintain your tiles shine and brilliance. If mopping, make sure to change your water frequently, otherwise you will be just spreading dirty water around your floors.
  10. Will my floors look like new again?
Yes, if your grout and tiles have been previously sealed, the dirt and other contaminants are prevented from penetrating and the result from cleaning will amaze you.
If the tiles have NOT been previously sealed, still YES in most cases, although it is possible that some staining, particularly in high traffic area’s, may remain.
We are happy to give you a quote and free demonstration on the area.
